Healing from Narcissistic and Relational Abuse Therapeutic Group

Women’s only 8 week of group therapy support online.

Do you have a relationship with a narcissist?

Whether romantic, familial, or platonic relationship, it all begins with idealization and making you feel loved, wanted, and like you are the most amazing person. You can’t exactly pinpoint when the criticisms, belittling, lying, and gaslighting started. You start getting confused and work harder for their love and approval. Logically, you know you have to walk away and put an end to things, but you can’t. When you do walk away, you feel at peace but you can’t help but wonder what if you made a mistake or you were at fault or what if they were right.

Whether you are in a narcissistic relationship, looking to walk away, or have walked away, we invite you to come heal as a community where your story is heard and can help inspire others.

This women-only group support is to empower you to recover and heal from narcissistic abuse while building connections with others who have gone through similar experiences.

Who are we?

We are proud to be the only clinic in the GTA (even beyond) where we focus on Narcissistic Abuse Recovery and our therapists are trained extensively in this area.

At The Therapeutic Way, Counselling and Psychotherapy Services, we specialize in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, helping people heal from this type of abuse and heal from the hurt and grief. We teach you how to move forward and gain your sense of autonomy.

Narcissistic Abuse Recovery with our therapists are not just one of the many things we work with, but more than 90% of our clients come to us for narcissistic abuse!

Having worked with so many people who have been on the receiving end of narcissistic abuse, we have decided to create a support group for those who would like to heal as a community. We see so many individuals that questions whether they are going through this alone or if all of it is “normal”. Our answer is yes. What you are experiencing is valid and that you are not alone.

Group Therapy Details.

This group will provide a vital space for healing, empowerment, and growth. These groups cater to women who have endured the emotional and psychological trauma inflicted by narcissistic relationships. The supportive environment fosters understanding, validation, and community among survivors.

In this group you will learn to recognize the signs of narcissistic behaviour, which is essential for understanding your experiences and preventing future encounters with such individuals. Education on the dynamics of narcissistic abuse, including gaslighting, manipulation, and emotional neglect, will help you to make sense of your past and the complex nature of your relationships.

The support group therapy also emphasizes the importance of self-care and boundary setting. You will be encouraged to prioritize your well-being and to reclaim your sense of self-worth. Through group discussions, exercises, and resources, participants learn strategies for establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, which is a fundamental aspect of protecting oneself from future abuse.

Emotional healing is another significant component of these support groups. You will be provided with a safe space to share your stories, express your emotions, and receive empathy and support from others who have gone through similar experiences. This sense of community can be incredibly validating and empowering, as it helps women to realize we are not alone in our journey.

Additionally, the support group will help you to rebuild your self-esteem and confidence. Activities and discussions focus on recognizing personal strengths, celebrating small victories, and setting achievable goals. Over time, you develop a stronger sense of self and a renewed belief in you ability to lead fulfilling and healthy lives.
