Hiring: Registered Psychotherapist (Hybrid- Remote and in Burlington)
We are looking for a registered psychotherapist (somatic therapist) to join our team to provide counselling services remotely and in Burlington ON.
The Therapeutic Way, Counselling and Psychotherapy Services offer online and in-person individual, couples, and family therapy to Ontarians over the age of 16. With a focus on relationship issues, attachment injuries, relational trauma issues, and narcissistic abuse recovery, we take a relational and attachment-based standpoint to therapy. Our approach to counselling is holistic, eclectic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. We help clients heal the relationship they have with themselves and with their loved ones.
Responsibilities
Experience/ability to provide counselling to individuals, couples, and families (adult families 16+), both in-person and virtually.
Experience working with relationships issues, narcissistic abuse, PTSD/trauma, and attachment wounds, including breakups/separation, infidelity, anxiety, grief, depression, etc.
Trained and ability to use somatic therapy and evidence-based treatment that is beyond university level.
Flexible hours 10-15 hours/week, with at least 2 evenings per week availability
Work from a holistic, relational, and trauma-informed approach
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes within CRPO’s guidelines
Acknowledge and answer client email, phone inquiries, and team messages within a timely manner (24 hours)
Collaborate with other team members to ensure coordinated care and client support.
Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
Completed Masters degree in counselling through an accredited institution
In good standing with the CRPO and adherence to CRPO guidelines
Strong sales skills and experience with consultation calls to attract and retain clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Possess individual liability and malpractice insurance
Official training in couples therapy and/or somatic therapy
Has the necessary requirements to provide virtual counselling services including (but not limited to): A quiet, private space, high-speed internet, computer with adequate audio/visual capabilities.
Assets
Ability to offer treatment in a second language
Official training in Somatic Therapy and Level 1/2 Gottman Method or family therapy
Knowledge of Grief Therapy or High conflict separation/divorce
Knowledge of Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Therapy
