Hi! I'm Erin.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

⦿ Accepting new clients. ⦿ Online sessions only. ⦿ Daytime, Afternoons.

How I work and what this means for you

When we start our therapeutic relationship, in the first few sessions, I will get to know you as a person and how we can help you reach your goals or get you to where you want to be. This is important as I want you to feel safe to be able to open up and have candid, honest conversations. I work with you through an anti-oppressive, identity-affirming, and see you as an individual and not just the problem you are coming in with. I tap into genuine curiosity, empathy, kindness, creative thinking, and humour (when appropriate!) to create an atmosphere where you can feel at ease.

As your therapist, I trust in your expertise of who you are, what you have experienced, and what you want for yourself. I will walk beside you, supporting you towards greater self-insight, new coping tools, making choices that is aligned to your values, and knowing that you carry many different stories.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic. Whether you are seeking deeper trauma healing, relationship challenges, support in accepting new aspects of identity and your life, you will know you have me in your corner. Some of the modalities I use are somatic therapy, narrative therapy, trauma therapy, and relational-based interventions.

Together we would explore how you view yourself, the world, and others, and help support your journey towards recognizing your own power, and standing confidently within it.

I have lived experience with navigating major life transitions in areas of grief and chronic illness. This has helped me to understand that honouring the grieving process as a complex and individualized experience is so important in healing. The latter has informed an anti-ableist and depathologizing lens. To support those in their journeys towards radical self-love, I understand how your relationships and situations can impact self-concept, nurture self-advocacy, and explore coping tools to support overall wellbeing.

I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the importance of using queer-affirming language, respecting autonomy in evolving identities, and advocating for the rights and needs of my fellow members.

Fun Fact: I am also an artist, and enjoy drawing, painting, and textile arts. And I’m a cat person!

Best Piece of Advice I received: The most valuable relationship you will nurture is the one you have with yourself.
