How I work and what this means for you

My sessions is one of warmth and safety. I provide a non-judgmental space where you are free to explore your thoughts and emotions. You’ll experience a comfortable setting, where you can feel calm and at ease. In sessions, we will start with exploring your personal and relationship history, understand the roots of challenges, and focus on building practical skills for you to use immediately. I will gently nudge you to explore uncomfortable thoughts and feelings while making sure to provide you with a safe haven. Each session is a collaborative journey where we work together to get you where you want to be. Together, we will navigate this complex thing called “relationships”, ensuring you reclaim your sense of self.

For a strong therapeutic relationship, there needs to be trust, understanding, and empathy. To ensure this, you’ll be able to drive the sessions at the pace you are comfortable with. After a few sessions, you will experience a sense of validation, clarity, and progress. Whether untangling the threads of past trauma or navigating current relationship challenges, I want you to be able to get things off your chest while also bring forth your resilience and strengths. Through self-awareness and tailored strategies, you will have a better handle to cope with the challenges AND to thrive in your personal and relational lives.

My sessions are creative where I used somatic therapy such as mindfulness approaches to support you. You will be encouraged to express yourself openly through talk therapy and using your body, knowing you are heard and understood.

Outside the therapy session.

For the longest time I struggled with setting healthy boundaries, and would often give in to my people-pleasing tendencies. Through therapy I was able to understand what a healthy, secure relationship looks like, and now I want to help others along their own journeys.

Fun Fact: I have two cats, and both of them are named after historical figures

Best Piece of Advice I received: A mentor once shared with me, "Embrace discomfort; it's a sign of growth." This advice has been a guiding principle in both my personal and professional life, encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone for positive change.

Go-To Therapy Book: Healing from a Narcissistic Relationship by Margalis Fjelstad. Fjelstad's insights on vulnerability and health boundary-setting have greatly influenced my approach to therapy, inspiring both myself and my clients to embrace authenticity.
